Urinary Calcium And Hydroxyproline Excretion In Osteoporosis

Twenty-four hour urinary calcium and hydroxyproline excretion were measured in 24 cases of osteoporosis (12M, 12F). A significantly increased (p < 0.001) urinary hydroxyproline excretion per mg of creatinine was observed in Type I osteoporosis. No significant difference in urinary calcium excretion per mg of creatinine was observed in any case. |
