Osteochondral fracture of patella is a painful disabling condition. Astute clinical appreciation and precise radiological evaluation is mandatory to arrive at a correct diagnosis. The treatment in the face of severe disabling pain, remains surgery. Here lies the controversy, what surgery? We try to suggest a simple yet effective surgical technique as yet unreported. A case of undisplaced Ostcochondral fracture involving medial articular facet of Patella is reported which remained symptomatic despite adequate conservative management. Partial medial patellectomy was very rewarding. |
