Incomplete versus complete transaction ratio of spinal cord, the ‘Safety Index’, is very low in eastern rural India where the ignorant attendants carry the victims in flexion attitude in a ‘Khatauli’ thus possibly aggravating further the level of spinal cord injury. It suggests the importance of maintenance of proper posture and careful handling of the patients during the journey form the site of injury to the hospital. |
