16 cases of segmental fractures of radius and ulna were managed by early open reduction. Under sized nails were used for fixation with minimum exposure and soft tissue stripping. Unstable fragment was not raised from its vascular bed and normal radial bow was maintained. Bone grafting was not undertaken as a primary procedure. We have 82% excellent to satisfactory results in terms of rotational movements, grip strength and radiological union. Mean union time in our series was 13.2 week
