Ganglion arising from the superior tibiofibular joint and infiltrating into the peroneus longus muscle is an extremely rare abnormality and only 8 cases in a single paper have been reported so far. The present case had paralysis of lateral popliteal nerve due to pressure of ganglion. Excision of the ganglion along with the head of fibula led to complete recovery in this case.
