Role Of Needle Biopsy In Skeletal Lesions

Needle biopsy was done by a modified Craig’s needle in 127 patients of skeletal lesions and results were compared with open biopsies. Diagnostic accuracy of needle biopsy was 80.4 percent and that of open biopsy 88.9 percent. No complications were encountered. Accuracy of needle biopsy was more in giant cell tumours and benign tumours.
