Multiple myeloma is a relatively uncommon type of bone malignancy. Most of the workers feel that none of the bone changes in multiple myeloma are pathognomonic of this disease. However certain pattern of localization of bone involvement may be very strongly suggestive of this disease (Berry and Bhargava 1972). Many a times, the radiologic findings are the only evidence of multiple myeloma (Kinney 1940). In the Indian literature, there are only few large series about multiple myeloma, the most notable are by Berry and Bhargava (1972), Rohtagi and Halder (1965), Rohtagi et al. (1976), Advani et al. (1978), Vashist et al. (1977) and Munnuswamy et al. (1976). Here we are presenting our observations in 70 cases of this disease most of which were diagnosed radiologically and confirmed by other parameters.
