Lambrindudi’s modification of triple arthrodesis is a well known procedure, being practiced since 1929. Though the efficacy of subtalar fusion has never been questioned, it certainly diminishes the capability of the foot to adopt to uneven ground. Most Indians walk on uneven terrain and their difficulties after a subtalar fusion have not been adequately ascertained. It was considered worthwhile reporting analysis of result of this operation in the background of Indian conditions
