Giant cell tumours remain as one of the most confusing primary bone tumours. A case of giant cell tumour primarily involving the rib and dorsal vertebrae producing spastic paraplegia is presented because of it rarity, and relevant literature reviewed. Lichtenstein (1972) did not observe any case of giant cell tumour in a rib, amongst his long series.
