Ganglia commonly form in synovial lining of the tendons or joints. Intraosseous ganglia are reportedly rare. Seymour (1968) described 2 cases of intraosseous ganglia in the lower end of tibia. Woods (1961) described 7 cases of cysts in the bones adjacent to joints having appearance similar to those of ganglia in soft tissues. Hicks (1956) and Crabbe (1966) also described subchondral cysts having similar features.
