Xanthoma of the Achilles tendon is a rare lesion. Fahey et al (1973) in an extensive review on the subject collected 173 cases of Achilles tendon xanthoma from the English literature and added 7 patients of their own. The tendon lesion is invariably multiple and may be associated with other lesions like tuber xanthomas, xantholesma of the skin, arcus cornea and coronary heart disease. The purpose of this report is to add another case of xanthoma of the Achilles tendon associated with xanthoma of the right patellar tendon and bilateral congenital cataract yet unreported.
