Whereas fractures of the clavicle occur more frequently and those of the first rib rarely, simultaneous fractures of these bones constitute a very rare injury. Attention to the co-existence of fracture clavicle and first rib was drawn by weiner and O’Dell in 1969 when they reported 17 cases. In this paper, 9 cases of simultaneous traumatic fractures of the clavicle and first rib are reported.
